Healthy...What's That Like?

We have all been sick around here. It started a week ago when we went to Ruston/Jonesboro/Vicksburg for Labor Day weekend. Jared started with his wheezing and coughing quickly followed by me getting the flu (or something like it). Jared went to the doctor on Wednesday and was put on an antibiotic and nebulizer treatments. I went to see a nurse practitioner on Thursday who I will not be returning to see for any future medical needs. He walked in the room and informed me that, after 3 days of high temperatures, I could possibly have the flu, a viral infection, or a bacterial infection (what else is there?!) and left after maybe 2 minutes. I am feeling much better now and seem to be almost back to normal. Jared's wheezing has almost completely gone away, too. Ryan is still a little congested, but he seems to be getting better, too. I have a few pictures to share; but, with all the sickness, photo sessions have been few and far between.

Scrapbooking for Dummies

This is the reason it has been so long since I have posted anything. I have been shuffling through a years worth of photos, editing them, and organizing them on pages with captions. It is FINALLY FINISHED!!! I had exactly 27 minutes to spare before the 20% off AND the free shipping offers ended when I hit the final order button...whew! I hope it turns out ok!

Makes me cry a little :)

I found this video file and wasn't sure what it was. When I opened it, it made me cry!

Ryan took this video while I was still in recovery from my c-section so I could see him. He kept running back and forth with pictures, but I had forgotten about this video. He is growing up so fast :(

Meet My New BFF: PHOTOSHOP

My sophomore year in college I took a class on graphic design software. Out of it I took nothing! I am learning more now, 7 years later, than I did in the pricey class at the age of 19! After reading MckMama's blog entry on making you photos "old" I am so loving Photoshop!

I think the second one turned out quite a bit better. I am now on a photoshop binge...I love it!!

Happy First Birthday Jared (Recap)

What a busy week! Jared's birthday festivities are finished down here in Baton Rouge. We still have his little celebration in Vicksburg once Ryan's parents come back from Hawaii in a few weeks. We had a blast visiting with everyone who came to Jared's party this past weekend! Jared is becoming less and less baby everyday... he is such a big boy! Here are some of his recent new "tricks":

He says "Plee, Plee" (please, please) when he wants something and once you give him what he is asking for he responds "Dah-du!" (thank you)
He RUNS
He climbs on higher and higher surfaces every time I turn around... he is quite the dare devil!
When you ask him a question such as "Who is______? Raise your hand!" He gets a huge grin on his face and puts his hand up.
He repeats the names of his favorite foods back when you ask if he wants them banana=nah-nah, juice=duice
He loves to pretend he is talking on the phone and says "hey!" in a high-pitched tone.

He loves to give "kisses" His version is opening his mouth as wide as possible and putting it against your cheek while saying "awwww"
